The Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society
is located in the Kishacoquillas Valley of Central Pennsylvania,
in Allensville. The Society ("KVHS") was founded in 1991 to preserve
the Valley's history, by encouraging research of families and events
as well as collecting / displaying important artifacts.

The Kishacoquillas Valley lies between Stone Mountain to the north and
Jack's Mountain to the south. Col. John Armstrong named the Valley in 1759
after a friendly Shawnee chief. His Indian name translates to "The snakes
are already in their dens."
